I deliver a unique approach to any topic that rises above the norm. From big Constitutional issues to international relations, here are a few examples of what I bring to your event.

What your runny nose can teach you about national security.
This talk takes on a question we ask all the time; is there a difference between what is legal and what is just? Are we stuck to the text, or are there times when we are justified in breaking the rules to prevent a larger harm? If you’ve ever ignored the dosage recommendation on your medicine bottle to relieve what ails you, it’s a question you can relate to.
What's the value of an umbrella, when you're not getting wet?
Whether it’s the size and cost of our military, the value of foreign aid, questioning diversity and inclusion programs, or the benefits of global trade, many are asking why question what brought so much peace and prosperity. Others are saying it's time to ask hard questions because change is well overdue. But no matter your point of view, we're all asking the same thing, what's the value of an umbrella when you're not getting wet?

Big Rocks, Big Trouble? The door is open to deep sea mining.
In this talk I discuss how the recent decision to open deep sea mining to private companies may be President Trump's most obvious statement that international norms won’t get in the way of national self-interest. It’s a story about small nations influencing large nations. And large nations pushing back against being influenced.
Standing on your own two feet, the strategy to peace.
In this talk I recount a conversation with my wife about young women in Africa pushing back against societal norms to pursue their passion for surfing. She related to how hard it can be for a young woman to stand on her own two feet (literally in this case). I told her, that’s what the strategy to peace is all about.
